STILL LIFE WITH THREE VESSELS
Isn't it interesting to look at this painting and see the three vessels as a metaphor for a group of three people. There's an apparent dialogue going on between them: the graceful blue teapot and the brown jug are communicating with each other, while the yellow pottery jug is trying to communicate with the brown jug. Brown jug does not return the interest.
The Still Life series are a result of integrating what I learnt over the course of six weeks at the Florence Academy of Art (March/April 2016) where I was taught to work from life under natural light using the tradition of the masters of the past, and translating nature in a way that is both anatomically accurate and artistically beautiful.
